VR Experience Sudan_2026

A personal story of displacement that cuts through silence, revealing the invisible crisis unfolding in Sudan.

Sudan’s history is marked by decades of horror, suffering and invisibility. Entire communities ravaged by relentless violence, met with indifference by the West.

Communities and cultures fading into oblivion due to interests that blur realities and confuse ideals. A decadent spectacle without spectators, an empty theatre in which the plot is discarded as it is written, leaving those on stage in a torturous limbo of silence.

Forced to Hope is a 12-minute immersive VR experience following anaesthetist Mohammed Dafallah, forced to flee war-torn Sudan and now living as a refugee in Chad.

Blending 3D illustration and 360° video, the piece immerses viewers in one of the world’s largest yet underreported humanitarian crises through a deeply personal story of displacement, resilience, and survival.

The experience aims to put the spotlight on the harsh reality of those displaced by the conflict, to amplify their voices and turn the tide of global indifference towards these communities desperately in need.
